Neighbourhood Plan Springs Back Into Action

The Neighbourhood Plan for Belper has arranged two new events in the forthcoming months as they seek to finalise a first draft of the planning document.

Katie Harris of the NP4B steering group said: “It may seem that all has gone quiet on the Neighbourhood plan but behind the scenes a small group of people have been working hard on getting the first draft document ready for publication.”

“We are  getting really useful information and support from groups in the town and putting the many sections of the document together. We are aiming to be ready to go out to the public with the first draft document in May/June.”

The Neighbourhood Plan group have a couple of events coming up over the next few weeks. There is a workshop and discussion on 22nd February at 7.30 pm on the future of the Mill complex. This will include a presentation on possible new uses and a consultation session which can feed into the Belper Neighbourhood Plan [NP4B] document.

On March 11th the group will be joining with many other local groups at the DVMWHS Celebration event at Strutts Centre. The NP4B group will be giving a presentation and having an information stall.

If residents want to meet with members of the group more informally for an update they will be at the Belper Farmers Market and also have been invited to join the Transition Belper coffee morning being held on the fourth Saturday of the month at No28.
