Eleventh Year For Successful Belper Food Festival

On Sunday July 8th from 10 am Belper will once again welcome visitors to the annual Belper Food, Real Ale and Craft Festival.

The Belper Food Festival, now celebrating its tenth event, has grown dramatically each year since it started and regularly attracts thousands of visitors to the town.

The prestigious food and drink festival gives Derbyshire and East Midland suppliers a showcase for their products. With over a hundred fine food and drink exhibitors to discover there is a wide range of meats, cheeses, real ales and pastries on hand to suit all dietary requirements.

Other attractions include arts and crafts, children’s farm and a classic car show. There’s live music, dance acts and children’s entertainment throughout the day.

The event is free and is suitable for the whole family.

Slow Shopping

Belper Town Council have agreed to continue their Slow Shopping experience at this year’s festival.

After successful trials last year Slow Shopping will return on July 8th. The Festival will open between 9.30am and 10am specifically for people with difficulty getting around.

Accessible Belper said: “Whether you’re a wheelchair user, live with dementia, have a visual impairment, have an aversion to crowds or any other disability then this is your opportunity to take advantage of this wonderful event at a quieter, more relaxed time.”
