Sunday (July 3rd) sees the return of the summer Belper Food Festival, organised by Belper Town Council, and involving many local businesses and groups.
The annual event regularly sees thousands visiting the town to sample a wide variety of artisan and local foods, drink, and crafts. Stalls will be located along the ‘pedestrianised’ King Street, Strutt Street and Campbell Street for the day.
For anyone with visible or invisible disabilities, or those who may find shopping stressful or challenging, slow shopping will commence from 9.30am until 10am. The event will then be open to all from 10.00 am until 4.00 pm
A full programme of entertainment will be provided in the Memorial Gardens throughout the day, organised by ‘Belper Fringe’ in collaboration with ‘Furthest from the Sea’, which will include live music and life-size novelty puppets. Plenty of other live acts can also be found in venues across the town.
