Belper Wins Gold Again!

For the ninth year in a row Belper has won a Gold award in the Large Town category of the East Midlands in Bloom competition.

Competition judges remarked that Belper is a place “where all residents have pride in their achievements.”

But that’s not all.  East Midlands in Bloom have also given Belper a second award this year.
Transition Belper volunteers were awarded a Judges Award, and this is specifically for their planting and maintenance of Belper Railway Station, which the judges were especially entranced by when visiting Belper in summer.

Belper’s nearest neighbour, Milford received praise for “Its Your Neighbourhood” entries by community groups Blooming Milford and Millers Way Community Gardening Group.
