At North Mill, there was also a temporary display of work created during craft workshops and volunteer guides were dressed in period costume, adding to the atmosphere. Volunteers were able to share their knowledge on certain topics, such as what actually was ‘chevening’?

There were various talks and tours on offer around the town –  you could learn about what the Strutts did for Belper, about the Belper Hydro or go inside the former mansion home of a Belper Nailmaster. Underwear featured large at No.28 Cafe on the Market Place!
