Toy Library Announces Christmas Raffle

Toy Library Volunteer Nell Munro has kindly baked and donated a Christmas Cake to be raffled off to raise much needed funds for Derbyshire Toy Libraries.  It is 21x21cm and weighs around 3.5kg (minus icing). This beautiful cake was iced by toy library member Cate Bush.  Raffle tickets are £1 each and are available from the Toy Library’s stay & play sessions or though messaging Derbyshire Toy Libraries.

Derbyshire Toy Libraries is a Charity (1081255) that provides welcoming, fun and stimulating play sessions for parents or carers in Belper, Crich, Cromford, Fritchley, Kilburn and Matlock & Wirksworth, to bring their babies, toddlers and young children to play with other families. They have a wide range of quality toys, games and puzzles, sensory equipment, interactive learning aids and much more to play with or hire.

Toy Library Stay & Play Sessions

Derbyshire Toy Libraries CRICH – ‘Baby – Toddler – Preschool Stay & Play’ sessions run every Monday from 9.30 – 11.30am located at Crich Glebe Field Centre, Crich. DE4 5EU -NB: Baby Clinic Joins Toy Library on 1st Monday of each month.

Derbyshire Toy Libraries WIRKSWORTH – NB: New Premises launched on 3rd November Tuesday 9.30 – 11.30am – Wirksworth Infant School, Harrison Drive, Cemetery Lane, Wirksworth, Derbyshire DE4 4GZ (NB Opposite Coop) – FREE parking available at far end of Lime Kiln pub car park – Last festive session of term 15th December.

Derbyshire Toy Libraries FRITCHLEY: ‘Baby – Toddler – Preschool Stay & Play’ sessions run on Tuesdays Fritchley Primary School Activity Room, 9.30 -11.30am Church St, Fritchley, Belper DE56 2FQ (Families welcome to join in after dropping other children off whilst we set up from 9.15am) – Park on Road  Last festive session of term 15th December.

Derbyshire Toy Libraries BELPER Community: ‘Baby – Toddler – Preschool Stay & Play’ sessions run on Wednesdays from 9.30- 11.30am at Belper Community Hall, Bridge Street, Belper, DE56 1AB (Adjacent to Library).  Christmas party with Santa on 16th December tickets £3.50 with additional siblings £1.

Derbyshire Toy Libraries KILBURN:  ‘Baby – Toddler – Preschool Stay & Play’ sessions run on Thursdays from 9.30 – 11.30am Kilburn Village Hall, Church Street, Kilburn DE56 0LU – (Families welcome to join in after dropping other children off whilst we set up from 9.15am. Christmas Party is on 10th December with fuddle, bring a wrapped gift for own child. Last session of term, 17th December.

Derbyshire Toy Libraries BELPER:  ‘Baby – Toddler – Preschool Stay & Play’ sessions run on Thursdays from 1.30 to 3.30pm located at The Bungalow, Belper School, John O’ Gaunts Way, Belper. DE56 1RZ (The Bungalow is located in far left hand corner of Belper Leisure Centre & Belper High School Car Park). Last festive session of term 17th December.

Derbyshire Toy Libraries MATLOCK:  ‘Baby – Toddler – Preschool Stay & Play’ sessions run on Fridays from 10.00am – 12.00pm at Matlock Surestart Childrens Centre (Adjacent to Catle View. Primary School), School Rd, Matlock, Derbyshire DE4 3DS.  Christmas Party with Santa Friday 18th December Tickets £3.50 additional siblings £1.

Derbyshire Toy Libraries CROMFORD:  ‘Baby – Toddler – Preschool Stay & Play’ sessions run Fridays from 10am – 12pm – Masson Mill Level 1 – Tree Tops Tumble Area & Activity Room – Sir Richard Arkwright’s Masson Mills, Derby Road, Matlock Bath, Matlock, Derbyshire DE4 3PY (NB: Session Price £3.50 includes unlimited session in soft play).  Closed until January 2016.

The standard ‘Stay & Play’ Sessions fee is £2.50 per family for up to three children. Additional visitors & children will charged 75p pence each (a one-off lifetime membership fee of £10 is charged to families and carers to join toy library. Your first session is FREE with membership) and includes a wide variety of toys to play with, one week’s toy hire, a craft activity, kids’ snack, hot drink for parent or carer. Contact the Toy Library for further information.

Introduce a friend to ‘Stay & Play’ sessions & receive free entry when they join Toy Library Discounts. This is also available for paying for sessions in blocks i.e. pay monthly and get one session free! Parents, carers, childminders and children in the local community and surrounding areas are invited to “Come, Play and Take Away’.
