‘Lock-Up’ Closing Party To Celebrate Huge Year Of Live Music

This Saturday (the 17th) the George & Dragon in Belper will be hosting the final Live Music Lock-Up of the year. Taking place from 8:00 pm until 12:00 – entry, as always, will be free.

During the year the popular Saturday night in Belper has showcased 75 acts over 47 events. It has been a platform for established acts and a showcase for new talent, many of which come from Belper.

For the closing party they have booked Familia Roots, Jasper Malone and JiJi to perform in their specially designed Winter Wonderland themed Lock-up.

• Familia Roots are a local East Midlands reggae an rubba dub band, who bring the sweet sound of reggae music back to dance to and be happy.
• Jasper Malone merges movements of folk euphoria with pop twists and country story telling. One man, an acoustic guitar and a kick drum build the foundations as a rhythmic playing and soaring vocal harmonies take control of the overall sound.
• Music by JiJi is a local singer, songwriter, T-Shirt wearer and guitarist.
