Belper Man Jailed For Shoplifting

A prolific shoplifter has been jailed for 52 weeks by magistrates in Derby after being charged with five thefts from a shop, one attempted theft and a burglary.

Ashley Proctor (33), of Park Road, Belper, was sentenced at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on June 6 for the offences which included thefts of alcohol from shops in Wirksworth, Bakewell and Allestree and a burglary in Belper in recent weeks.
