At Milford School there are no more plastic pots thrown in the bin at lunch times.

Last year, our class sent the catering service letters and have now succeeded in getting our school dinners disposable pot free, but sadly this isn’t the case at other schools.

Yes, it is good, but one school just isn’t enough.  It won’t be enough until every school in Derbyshire is disposable pot free.

So please write or email Derbyshire County Council to tell them what you think.:

or email them at: caya.catering@derbyshire.gov.uk to ask them to stop their wastage.

Even if stopping your plastic pots isn’t easy, please don’t give up. It might take a while, but it will be worth it. When every school in Derbyshire is pot free, we will be saving thousands of pots a day going to landfill.

Then, we will have succeeded but until then, we must keep trying and not give up. It isn’t just plastic pots. If you notice other similar problems, then speak up about them to. Because together, we can make a difference.
