Glass Artist Offers Local Workshops

Angela Thompson, a local glass artist, is offering workshops in Fused Glass and Copper Enamelling  at her studio, Glass @ the Barn, Carr Hall Farm Business Centre. Turnditch. Derbyshire, DE56 2LW

 

Saturday 6th February 2016

Fused Glass – Taster Session Workshops
Session1 : 10.30-1
Session 2: 2-4.30.
“Come along and have a go at making your own glass creation, Learn how to cut glass and put it together in the kiln to be fired and create your own glass work of art.
Sessions includes discussion about working with glass, demonstration about glass cutting and the opportunity to create your own glass work.”

Cost £25 per person includes materials to make 2 coasters/ small bowl and a piece of jewellery.
Your pieces will be fired and available for collection within 1 week or can be posted (postage cost extra)

Copper Enamelling – Tast Session Workshops

Session1: 10.30-1
Session2: 2-4.30
“I will be running two workshops using a wide range of coloured enamel powders and copper blanks to create your own jewellery pieces ready to take away. I will demonstrate cleaning the copper before and during the firing process, Adding milifiori beads / inclusions to the enamels to create a decorative effect.”

Cost £25 per session includes making 3 items.
You could always bring along some old coins to decorate
