Slice Of The States Comes To Heage Mill
Heage Windmill Society will be welcoming a large collection of vintage American vehicles to the windmill on Sunday August 13th from 11:00 am until the early afternoon.
They will include cars, hot rods, trucks and motor bikes which have been restored and presented as a very colourful collection. All the vehicles are owned by members of group known as the ‘East Midlands Hot Rods’ and they will be awarding a prize for the best car on show.
There will be an opportunity to look around some American Muscle cars, all of which have been beautifully restored by their owners. Previous events have seen Camero SS, Mustangs, Chevys, Impalas, corvette Stingrays and more.
Also on site will be an American type burger van, whilst the mill will have its own popular bric-a-brac stall in operation.
And, of course, there will be the 220 year old windmill in operation (wind permitting) with guided tours about the mills history and operations.
Homemade stone ground flour will be on sale with all profits going to keep the mill in operation.
The windmill will be open during 2017 (11-00am to 4-00pm) every weekend from April 1st until the end of October.
