Mill Recognised for Excellence

Despite being only partially operational for part of the year due to wet rot and subsequently removal of the sails to facilitate repair ‘Trip Advisor’ have awarded Heage windmill a ‘Certificate of Excellence for 2016’.

The mill was a winner last year and everyone is delighted to figure in the awards again, despite the restrictions currently in place. Trip Advisor have said that the award is made for consistently obtaining excellent reports from visitors to the mill over the 2015 season.

Piers Bostock, Chairman of Heage Windmill Society, said that ‘This is a rewarding reflection on the  hard work put in by our very dedicated team of volunteers’.

The windmill will be open during 2016 (11-00am to 4-00pm) every weekend from

Easter  Saturday March 26th until the end of October.
