Police Appeal over Heanor Home Invasion

Police are appealing to the public for information after a man and woman were left terrified when a man forced his way into their house.

CCTV footage has been released of a man that police would like to identify in connection with this aggravated burglary in Heanor.

On Wednesday 30th December at 4pm, a man rang the doorbell of a house on Loscoe Road. The occupants answered the door to find a man wearing an orange high-visibility jacket.

He pushed his way into the house and hit the man in the house repeatedly on his head and face with a hard object, leaving him with significant facial injuries.

The intruder then ran off towards Heanor Town Centre.

Anyone with information is asked to call DC Russell Garner on 101 quoting crime number 56346/15 or ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
