WHAT'S ON

Christmas Food Festival & Slow Shopping

The annual winter food festival, commonly known as the Christmas Food Festival, is back this weekend on 8th December, running from 10am until 3pm.

This year it will open early between 9.30am and 10am specifically for people with difficulty getting around.  If the crowds are too much for you, come early, just for you!

Accessible Belper says, “Whether you’re a wheelchair user, live with dementia, have a visual impairment, or have an aversion to crowds, then this is your opportunity to take advantage of this wonderful event at a quieter, more relaxed time. This is one of the many ways Accessible Belper is working with Belper Town Council and other local groups aiming to make Belper accessible for all. Please ensure that anyone with a disabling condition knows about this initiative and can enjoy all our town has to offer.”

Just a reminder that No.28 in the Market Place, Belper will be hosting a Christmas cafe & Maker’s Fair where unusual, hand-made gifts can be found, featuring ‘Nailer’s’ jewellery, pottery, greetings cards & much more. The building has disabled access at the side.
