Climate Strike – Friday 20th September

Plans are afoot for adults to support the young people of Belper as they come out on strike on Friday 20^th September this year as part of the Global Climate Strike.

The aim is to highlight the climate emergency in our community by:

• Holding a rally in the Memorial Gardens in Belper for an hour in the middle of the day with banners and speakers from local schools
• Take the messages to the A6 as people return from work

To prepare for this event we are planning:

• A free banner making workshop for young people
• A free ideas and banner workshop for adults
