WHAT'S ON

10th Amber Valley CAMRA Beer & Cider Festival

The 10th Amber Valley CAMRA Beer & Cider Festival will take place at Strutts Community Centre, from Thursday September 26th to Saturday 28th September.

The Festival will be open from 12 noon until 11pm on Thursday 26th with free entry for everyone until 6pm.  Saturday evening will cost £2 for CAMRA members and £3 for non-members.

The festival is now in its tenth year and will once again have a wide and interesting range of beer and cider from local and not so local producers. New attractions for this year include a craft Key Keg Bar for those who wish to try interesting new styles of beer, a combination of new and traditional brewing and serving methods. For those who want something different, a range of craft gins will be available at a dedicated Gin Bar.

Thursday evening will feature the ever-popular Festival quiz night for those who wish to exercise their little grey cells. Friday and Saturday will see live music. Quiet rooms will be available at all times for those wishing to chat and have a drink with friends old and new.

There will be a selection of live music on Friday and Saturday – details will be added to the AV CAMRA website. Hot and cold food will be available throughout the festival and this festival will see cash replace the usual token system.

The beer list will be available approximately 7-10 days before the event. The cider list is available here.

Amber Valley CAMRA are looking for volunteers to run this Festival.  The staffing form is available here.

Staff perks include beer/cider tokens for hours worked, a meal token for those working 6 or more consecutive hours or more than one day, and a taxi service for stranded volunteers who work till closing.
