Belper Food Festival 2019

Sunday sees the return of the summer Food Festival for the 12th year, organised by Belper Town Council, and involving many local businesses and groups.

The summer food festival is one of the biggest draw of visitors to the town, regularly attracting thousands to King Street and the Memorial Gardens.

The festival offers locally made food to take home, and a variety of hot and cold food and drinks as you go around.  Last year we tried chocolate champagne, local made pastries, fudge, local cheeses, peach prosecco, and saw some businesses that had been present at the Good Food Show.

There will be live music in some locations around the town.

Belper’s brand new book “Belper in Wartime: The Great War”, by Adrian Farmer, Richard Pinkett and George Gunby, will be on sale in the Memorial Gardens.

And at 2pm from the North Mill, Adrian Farmer is joint-leading a heritage walk to the Strutt farms, which includes a very rare look inside Crossroads Farm.

There will be things happening up at the Market Place, where Vegan Revelation will be taking over No. 28.

Vegan Revelation have also invited Praxis Probiotics to bring their THRIVE event to No. 28 for the food festival.
