Explore Witches Oak Water
Join Derbyshire Wildlife Trust to celebrate wildlife during 30 Days Wild at Witches Oak Water, which is a large wetland nature reserve with 12 lakes, reed-bed, wet and dry woodland, grassland and hedgerow habitats. Hopefully we’ll be finding some bats too!
This event takes place, on Saturday 8th June from 4pm – 9pm at Witches Oak Water Nature Reserve, Shardlow Quarry, Aston Lane, Aston on Trent, DE72 2SP, SK 440 296 and the cost is £7.50 per person, but free for under 16s.
Flower ID walk at Crich Chase Meadows
Discover the wonderful world of wild flowers with Derbyshire Wildlife Trust. Join us on a walk round Crich Chase Meadows overlooking the Derwent Valley to learn how to identify some of Derbyshire’s beautiful wildflowers.
The event takes place from 10.30am – 1.30pm on Saturday 8th June. Meet at Ambergate Railway Station, Belper, Derbyshire, DE56 2EN. Bring sturdy footwear and be aware that parts of the walk will be steep. The event is free, but booking is essential as places are limited.

Try your hand at Volunteering at Woodside Farm
Bring the family to join Derbyshire Wildlife Trust at their Woodside Farm to try your hand at some family-friendly volunteering with their weekend team.
This free event takes place on Sunday 9th June from 10am at Woodside Farm, Slack Lane, Mapperley, DE7 6BU.
