Concert to Celebrate 25th Twinning Anniversary With Pawtucket
Celebrate 25 years of Belper being twinned with Pawtucket at a special concert featuring Belper’s own Russian pianist SERGEI PODOBEDOV, SUE MacFARLANE, PETE CASTLE & SUE REANEY.
Pawtucket is the place where Samuel Slater “The Traitor” took the plans for Belper Mill, thereby stealing the designs of the first factories and exporting the Industrial Revolution to America. Our huge Mr. Potato Head was an ungratiously received gift from Pawtucket, as the children’s game originates there.
This year sees representatives from Pawtucket visiting Belper and touring our delights.
Tickets are ONLY £5 and are available from 7 June from OXFAM BOOKS and Derby Live. Available online belperartsfestival.org from 15 June. Sponsored by Vaillant & Slenderella.
