WHAT'S ON

Safer Neighbourhood Police Event: Get Your Possessions Security Marked

On Saturday 18th May 2019, between 11am and 2pm, the Belper Safer Neighbourhood Team of Derbyshire Constabulary will be holding a community event on the Market Place, aimed at crime prevention.

The event includes the opportunity to register bicycles, so that if they are stolen they can be identified.  You do not need to bring the bike with you, you need to register the colour, make, model and frame number.

Residents will also be able to take portable possessions, such as power tools, along to have them security marked by the police.

Officers will be available for you to discuss any local concerns you have.  This could include the bicycle gang, fly tipping, anti social behaviour, feeling unsafe, patrols, recurring crime problems.

The Safer Neighbourhood Team will also be giving out crime prevention advice and crime prevention items.

You can also sign up to the Derbyshire Alert system, if you have trouble signing up HERE
