FREE Family Day at Hilton Wildlife Reserve

The Derbyshire Wildlife Trust are running a FREE day at the nature reserve at Hilton Gravel Pits, on Willowpit Lane in Hilton.

The event is to celebrate funding which the trust has received from Veolia through the Landfill Communities Fund.  Veolia awarded the money to “improve the nature reserve for the local community.”

The Wildlife Trust invites you to:
“Join us for a free celebration packed full of wildlife activities at Hilton Gravel Pits”

Hilton is a special site, with a variety of different natural environments to explore including lakes, ponds, woodlands, and sheltered sunny areas.  As a wildlife reserve, there is much wildlife to experience.

There is a new children’s area, designed by the Trust, nature trails, and guided walks to join.

The event is pitched as a family day.

This free event takes place on Saturday 11th May 2019 10am – 2pm.
Meet at Willowpit Lane in Hilton, DE65 5FW.
