Half Term at the North Mill

CHILDREN CHALLENGE THE VICTORIANS

Children stepped back in time at Strutt’s North Mill in Belper, when they “Challenged the Victorians” during half term.

They enjoyed playing Victorian themed games including skittles, marbles, tiddly winks, and spillikins. Physical skills and memory was tested and scored on a tally card, with small prizes and Jelly Babies (a Victorian invention) to take away. Pop up mouse puppets and butterfly crafts were also made and taken home.
