WHAT'S ON

The Ferretts Supported By Andy Bole at The Queen’s Head March 9th

A unique double bill reflecting the diverse and changing nature of folk, fusion and beyond.

The Ferretts brand of alt techno folk is well known to Derbyshire music lovers and they come with quite a pedigree. Nansy was of course an integral part of the legendary Red Ruff and Marcus’ bands and collaborations are equally known across the festival scene. Now a cutting edge duo, The Ferretts are definitely branching out, writing for stage productions as well as developing their own unique style of techno enhanced folk.

Andy Bole is one of the great unsung catalysts and collaborators of the world/avant garde scene with a CV that ranges from work with the late Daevid Allen (Gong) to his current band, Bonfire Radicals who have set the music scene alight with their spiralling and freewheeling fusion of folk, world and jazz. On this occasion Andy will be demonstrating his mastery of the bouzouki. Just check out the wonderful music on his Rainbow Crow CD.
