Information Day For Visually Impaired

Sight Support Derbyshire are holding a free information morning on Thursday 31st January at The Strutt Centre, on Derby Road.
The event will run from 10:30am to 1pm.

Sight Support Dersbyshire gives advice and support to people in Derbyshire who suffer from sight loss, both partial and full. They provide Low Vision Aids, Home Support Aids and offer a Rehabilitation Service.

They are partnered with The Royal National Institute for The Blind, Library Services, Talking Books and Newspapers, The Macula Society and many others. Partner organisations have been invited to be present at the information morning, so that they can meet visually impaired people and their families.

The aim is to place all of the information and support available in one place, to give as much advice and assistance as possible. There will be information on: community transport, reading aids, blind veterans, welfare rights, Macular Society, specialist computer software and fire safety advice.

For more information or for local organisations wishing to have a table at the event, please contact the organisers on 01332 292262.
