Beaurepaire Patisserie Wins Food and Drink Award

Beaurepaire Patisserie on King Street has been named as one of the winners of this year’s Derbyshire Life: Food and Drink Awards, in the category of Best Tearoom/Cafe.

Derbyshire Life says, “The Derbyshire Life Food & Drink Awards are designed to champion, highlight and offer a showcase to the good and the great from the region’s food and drink industry – including local producers and suppliers, chefs, restaurants, pubs and hoteliers, and people who care about the countryside and the future of our local environment.

The awards recognise and reward the use of locally or regionally sourced produce; imaginative, creative dishes using seasonal produce; food quality and presentation; hospitality and service efficiency; cleanliness; facilities, decor and ambience, among other criteria.

The companies are nominated by the magazine’s readers, the people who eat and drink the food produced across the region.”

The nominations for the TEAROOM/CAFÉ OF THE YEAR category were:

Beaurepaire Patisserie, King Street, Belper

The Woodlands Restaurant & Tearooms, Charlesworth, Glossop

Jack Rabbits, Green Man Hotel, Ashbourne

Christopher Gregory, proprietor of Beaurepaire Patisserie told Nailed, “We’re very humbled that our years of hard work have paid off, possibly one of the best Christmas presents we could have got, for myself, partner and whole team here at Beaurepaire…. we are very thankful to everyone who took the time to vote for us.”

The full list of winners will be published in Derbyshire Life.
