Belper Residents Invited to Public NHS Health Meeting

Belper residents are invited to an NHS health meeting on 29th November 2018.

NHS services will be in the spotlight at a meeting hosted by Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust on Thursday 29 November at Belper Town Football Club, Bridge Street, Belper, DE56 1BA.

Members of the public are invited to come along for all or part of the meeting:

  • 12.30pm: arrival and an opportunity to chat informally with the trust’s board members

  • 1pm: presentation about NHS services in the Belper/Amber Valley area. Questions will be invited from the public

  • 1.30pm: Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust hosts its November board meeting in public, open to observers with an opportunity for asking questions at the end of the meeting.

Prem Singh, chairman of Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust, said: “The first part of the meeting is about providing an opportunity for members of the public to engage with us about what they think of local community health services. We are really hoping people will come along to join in the conversation.

From 1.30pm the second part of the meeting is our formal trust board business. This is open to observers and then at the end of the meeting anyone can ask questions about anything which has been discussed. As an organisation we take our public accountability very seriously and this is one of the ways in which we ensure our business is always conducted in a spirit of transparency.”

Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust runs services at Babington Hospital, Ripley Hospital and many other locations listed on the trust’s website: http://www.dchs.nhs.uk/home/our-services

The full agenda for the formal trust board meeting will be posted online: http://www.dchs.nhs.uk/home/about/the_board/board-meeting-agenda-and-papers.
