Motorcyclist Killed In Belper Collision

A 30-year-old man has died after his motorbike collided with a car between Belper and Ripley.

The incident, involving a green Kawasaki motorcycle and a Riley RMA Saloon, occurred on Ripley Road (A610) at around 2.15pm today (Sunday, May 13).

The motorcyclist was transported to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham where he was later pronounced dead.

The Saloon driver, a 66-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and is being treated in hospital.

Anyone with possible dash cam footage, or who witnessed the incident, please call the Collision Investigations Unit on 101 quoting incident 498 of May 13.

The road remains closed as their investigation continues.

    Oh Dear. I was at the Classic Motor Cycle Display at Heage Windmill. He was probably there. Poor soul.
