BELPER GOES GREENENVIRONMENTWHAT'S ON

Transition Café At No 28 On Saturday

Transition Belper’s café will be on Saturday 28th of April at No 28 Community Hall, 28 Market Place, Belper from  10.00am – 1.00pm.

The monthly café is a regular opportunity for Transition Belper members and supporters to meet as well as an informal, friendly way of enabling curious members of the community to find ask about Transition Belper and its groups and projects.

Apart from the usual swaps of books, seeds, seedlings, energy advice and updates on various Transition Belper projects we’ll have My Happy Space dispensing smiles and the debut of the new tetrapak recycling bin – bring your tetrapak cartons to be taken to Loscoe to go to recycling instead of putting them in the bin.

Anne Clark, who is organising this months café, said: “If you have been busy planting seeds or potting up plants that you no longer have room for please bring them along to the Green Café. Money from the café is going towards the latest Belper Community Gardening Project being planned in the Churchyard of St Peter’s Church.”

My Happy Space will also be at the Café. They will have some special treats for everyone who comes to see them and will be chatting all things wellbeing. Please note this is a Transition Belper event of which My Happy Space will be a part of.

There will be an opportunity to order bamboo toothbrushes (instead of using those plastic ones). Prices start at £2.40 for a plain toothbrush and go up to £2.60 for a rainbow coloured one.

Transition Belper will be providing refreshments, cakes and biscuits; all the things you would expect from a café.

If you would like to be involved, or have ideas for new projects, you are invited to attend or contact Transition Belper via email at info@transitionbelper.org
