Nominate A Community ‘Hero’ For Christmas Light Switch On

On Friday November 24 the Belper Christmas lights will be switched on by the Mayor Cllr Peter Hurst and a member of the public at 5.45pm in the Memorial Gardens.

Belper Town Council are inviting the community to nominate a person who they would like to see switch the lights on, you must give a reason why you think they should be selected.

All nominations in writing to Belper Town Council, St John’s Chapel, The Butts, Belper, DE56 1HX or to admin@belpertowncouncil.gov.uk.

There will also be a clown, Punch & Judy show, Belper Town Wind Band, Santa’s Grotto (new location this year in the archway between Sundial and Belper Patisserie), Charity stalls and children’s ride.

This is a free event and all are welcome.

Milford

The Christmas lights will be switched on at Milford Triangle at 5pm by the Mayor Cllr Peter Hurst, Santa and the Elf.

All are welcome. Chevin Road will be closed from its junction of the A6 and Sunny Hill from 4.45pm until after the lights have been switched on.
