“Rural Means Business” Funding Conference To Be Held In Belper

Local businesses and organisations will be encouraged to bid for funds being made available by the Rural Payments Agency and Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs at a business conference to be held in Belper on the 18th of July.

A total of £3m in grant funds is being offered through the RDPE Growth Programme. The grants are aimed at boosting the rural economy, and the first sectors to be considered are Food Processing, Tourism Infrastructure and Business Development.

Details of the fund and how to apply will be made available at the “Rural Means Business” Conference being staged by Amber Valley Borough Council in partnership with D2N2 (Derbyshire’s Local Enterprise Partnership). The conference will be held at the Belper Town Football Club, 121 Bridge Street, on the 18th of July, from 9.00am. At the conference there will be an overview of rural policy and presentations from guest speakers and local businesses.
