Belper Mill Artists & Makers Fair Returns For Second Year

Next weekend (Sunday 23rd October) visitors can experience over 50 stalls, featuring handmade items and local talent, at the Belper Mill Artists & Makers Fair.

Part of the Derwent Valley Mills world heritage Discovery Days week, which starts on the 22nd of October, the Artists & Makers Fair event, held from 11 am to 3pm on the Sunday, will be spread over Strutt House, Strutt’s Mill Museum and The Fit Pit, East Mill.

An eclectic selection of arts & craft will be on display from some of Derbyshire’s finest creatives. Those attending the free event will be greeted by stalls under the veranda welcoming them into the Strutt’s Mill Museum in the North Mill.

For kids (& adults) coming to the Fair, Sal Chaffrey is organising a short Orienteering course in the River Gardens. Come to the Memory Lane Cards stall in the Fit Pit for your free map and try it out.

The museum will have exclusive one day only free entry with guides in historical costume and activities taking place. In addition there will be free Heritage walks around Belper. It promises to be a day of discovery for all the family.

Donations to the museum welcomed.
