American Cars Return To Heage Windmill

After a successful event last month, the Heage Windmill will once again be welcoming a group of American cars, trucks and motor bikes.

The event will be taking place on Sunday June 24 from 11-4 and will be open to all visitors.

Trustee Alan Gifford said: “It was only a few weeks ago that we hosted a visit to Heage Windmill by a group of flamboyant, and large, American cars, trucks and motor bikes. We enjoyed their visit and so did the many visitors to the mill.”

“The car owners also enjoyed the venue and they have asked if we could receive them again, plus some more, on Sunday June 24th.

“So yes, there will be another ‘Little America’ at the windmill and we will be open from 11-00 am until 4-00 pm. If you missed the first visit, or want to see more of these monsters, this is a date for your diary.”

The team of volunteers that run the Heage Windmill recently received their fourth Trip Advisor ‘Certificate of Excellence’ award.

They have arranged for a burger van to be there and the windmill will be open for tours as usual.
