Be Your Own Kind Of Brilliant – Skill Share Group
A multi-talented and curious group of young people in Belper need creative and brilliant local people of all ages to join our conversation about our vision of building an intergenerational community group of inspired people, through online learning and skills sharing.
If you are a heart-centered, positive change kind of person and are interested in discussing how we might embrace the experiences of our whole community to ignite the passions of young people (and hopefully the rest of us too), then we need you to throw your curiosity into the mix with ours to help us to ask the right questions.
We have lots of ideas for what we’d like to do and we need your input to work out just how possible they are. We want you to help us dare to dream big!
The ‘Be Your Own Kind Of Brilliant’ young person’s group usually meet at Fleet Arts on Tuesdays but has temporarily been put on hold while we use the time to collaborate with as many people as possible, to share our vision, build on what we’ve achieved so far, and work out how to turn our ideas into reality.
If you are free on 18th July and would like to find out more, please come and chat to us. We start at 4.30pm (too early for some, I know) and normally finish at 6.30pm, but on the 18th, we’ll stay there as long as there is someone there who wants to talk to us! There’ll be refreshments available and (hopefully) lots of interesting people to meet. If you can’t make the meeting, join the conversation on Facebook soon.
If you know something about setting up social enterprises, you’re welcome. If you’re a parent, you’re welcome. If you have experience of funding bids, you’re welcome. If you have a passion you want to share with us, you’re welcome. If you’re knowledgeable about anything, no matter how big or small, you’re welcome. If you know nowt about owt but have a whole load of energy and enthusiasm, you’re welcome.
Whatever your brilliant is, we want to welcome you to collaborate with us – in a way, and at a time that suits you.
We need:
- Parents
- Community groups
- Wellbeing folk
- ‘Great Get-Together’ peeps
- Oldies and not-so-oldies
- WI and Rotary members

You can contact us on Facebook (at ‘Brilliant Belper’ – which we’ll hopefully have set up soon!), by email at Anji@forgingfutures.org.uk, or by text/phone/whatsapp. Anji Marples: 07886 856684.
We all learn by experience so why don’t you share yours with us?
