N is for nature, wondrous and wild,

O for the ozone that nearly retired,

F for forget-me-not, fennel and furze,

R for the rivers, their beds and their source,

A is for apples, their cider and trees,

C for the caraway, currants and cherries,

K for the kittiwake, kestrel and kite,

I for the insects, the bees, damsel flies,

N for the nuthatch and sweet nightingale,

G for the gardeners, hearty and hale,

all for the future of fen, field and farm,

all to protect from the danger of harm.
